78 r.p.m. records played on a Victrola. No enhancements of muddy sound
have been made, nor has the scratching of the needle nor the clunk of the
spring unwinding unevenly been filtered out. This is the real McCoy. The
Caruso carol was recorded in February 1916. I'm not 100% certain of the
performers on the medley record; they may be the Victor Light Opera Company.
The carols in the medley are Christians Awake, O Little Town of Bethlehem,
God Rest You Merry Gentlemen, The First Noel, and Silent Night.
